Description

Reduced to a firm price prior to beginning the restoration process next week. This spacious waterfront home in highly desirable Bay Crest Park was recently kissed by hurricane Helene. The owner began the process of restoration from the storm damages, but then decided to sell and allow someone else to turn this into their dream home at a reduced price. Well below any other comparable waterfront listed house in the neighborhood. Big size difference. This home is HUGE!. It has a great floor plan as well. The kitchen opens up nicely to the rest of the house and there are plenty of spots from where one can get a nice view of the canal through the expansive sliding glass doors so as to help ease the mind. This home has great potential to be restored into a home with a resort type feel. The home has good bones. It already has high end filmed hurricane windows throughout, the air conditioner was replaced less that a week from the listing date, a/c ducts were replaced in 2024, the washer and dryer are brand new, this home has a 100 year metal roof, the sea wall was reinforced and a liner and drains were installed. So the new owner just needs to apply the final touches. Keep a boat on the dock or kayaks will do because the canal in the back of the house is just the distance of around 3-4 blocks from opening up majestically into beautiful Tampa Bay. To me, it's invigorating every time I reach the bay. Guests from out of town's reactions to that is very rewarding. Bay Crest Park is conveniently located only 8 minutes from Tampa International Airport, but it's off to the side of the airport, so you won't notice that it's there. 10-15 minutes from downtown Tampa and 25 minutes to some of the best beaches in the US. Home Depot, Publix, Ross, Aldi, more shopping and restaurants are only 3-4 blocks away. Target, Walmart, theaters, and great restaurants are just minutes away. I purchased my home in Bay Crest in 2001 and currently live in it now. I raised my kids here and love this neighborhood. It's very tranquil and safe. The neighbors are great. There are beautiful trees all over, neighbors keep up with their landscaping and help the neighborhood stay looking nice without having to pay HOA fees and without association bullies
